Hi all.

i could not find a thread about Trackers we should not use or avoid at all costs, thought we had one.

This is now the Place to Discuss and Look for any Problem Trackers in which is advisable to avoid

Please Post here Trackers you find that cause Problems for you or set of AV Alerts.

How to Post:

Please remove the trackers Protocol from the URL

I stopped using trackers years ago. I rely solely on DHT to find peers these days. I don't know if that messes with seed/peers stats on sites like this, but I figure although not bulletproof it is much safer at this time.

exodus.desync tracker:
This tracker is American based that responds to
take down requests from the DMCA
by blocking hash strings on their tracker
here is that tracker/blacklist.txt (list Access is now denied)
Which could explain why it is blacklisted on a lot of sites, and thats according to the trackers home site.

Probably better to list trackers that work:

To avoid IP address scraping, HTTP trackers be used through a proxy or tunnelled:

http://inferno.demonoid.me:3418/announce
http://tracker.trackerfix.com

UDP trackers and DHT / PEX users can also scrape your IP address, of course, unless you are using a proxy.

udp://open.demonii.com:1337/announce
udp://9.rarbg.com:2710/announce

If you want to avoid DNS services, of course, look up the numeric IP address of each tracker using Tor and an IP checker and then use the numeric IP address of the tracker instead of the URL.

The IP addresses of DHT and PEX users can easily be scraped if they are not using a proxy. You aren't any safer avoiding trackers.

QBitTorrent is just another BitTorrent program -- I'll just assume you're using DHT and PEX (which is what Magnet links use).

Tribler has built-in Tor-like routing by making each user act as a relay and exit site as well, but it is a real PITA by slowing down the computer tremendously.

Tribler uses torrents, magnet links / DHT / PEX, and other "Tribler" user connections by default, but is not very customisable at this time.

Besides, in Tribler the user's IP address is exposed as an exit site sometimes anyway, so there's not much protection from notices in the long run unless you avoid magnet links and torrent connections, which it doesn't let you do.

Only a dedicated network for P2P with 3 onion hops within it (like the Tor network uses) provides real protection, unless you're using a proxy (in which case the proxy takes all the risk). Of course, a proxy-to-proxy network dedicated to P2P sharing would essentially be the same thing, and one of these two options is where this activity is heading.

Perhaps the I2P network (which allows P2P, including Gnutella and ED2K) is the only reasonable solution. Time to explore it... (it's been there a while).

not using trackers does not help us up-loaders out maybe ok for downloaders.
but that coppersurf dmca might explain why i been seeing Dmca take downs on alot of my uploads recently i would have well over 200 uploads it was 198/196 a day or so ago when oi looked earlier there was only 193. if its not that tracker then it probably means that the uk is starting to take this stuff seriously and starting to do things about it
